Abstract: A backlight assembly and an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) having the backlight assembly are provided to fix a lamp holder using a buffering holder so as to stably hold lamps and buffer vibrating impact to prevent the lamps from being damaged. A backlight assembly includes a receiving container, a lamps(300) and a lamp holding member(400). The receiving container includes a bottom and a side extended from the edge of the bottom to form a receiving space. The lamps are arranged in the receiving container and generate light. The lamp holding member includes a supporting plate(410) attached to the bottom of the receiving container, at least one lamp holder(420) arranged on the supporting plate to hold the lamps and a buffering holder(430) projected from both sides of the lamp holder in parallel with the supporting plate, bent and combined with the supporting plate to support the lamp holder.

Abstract: A transformer and a back light assembly having the same are provided to increase a surface distance by forming a first arch preventing unit made of an insulating material between an output terminal and an external core. A transformer(100) includes a core unit(200), a first transformer unit(300), a second transformer(400), and an insulating member(500). The core unit is made of a material having a magnetic property. The core unit is made of a ferrite material capable of efficiently boosting a voltage in comparison with a capacitance. The core unit may be made of silicon steel. The first transformer unit includes a first coil(310) and an input terminal(320). The first coil is wound to a first section. The input terminal extends to a first direction(a) from the first coil. A first voltage is inputted into the input terminal. Therefore, magnetic flux is formed in the core unit by the first voltage. The first voltage represents a low voltage having a low potential difference. The second transformer unit includes a second coil(410) and an output terminal(420). The second coil is wound to a second section. The output terminal extends to a second direction(b) from the second coil.

Abstract: A display device is provided to enable a reflection plate to cover a lamp fixing member for improving light emitting efficiency by reflecting light irradiated to the lamp fixing member, and block ultra violet rays generated from lamps not to be emitted to the outside. A receiving vessel provides a receiving space by having a bottom part(83) and side walls(82) prolonged from the bottom. Plural lamps(50) are arranged on the bottom surface of the receiving vessel and emit light. A display panel is disposed on an upper part of the lamps, and receives the light to display images. A lamp fixing member(100) is disposed within the receiving space to be adjacent to the both side walls facing each other in the receiving vessel, and fixes the lamps to the receiving vessel. A reflection member(65) is disposed between the bottom surface of the receiving vessel and the lamps. To cover the lamp fixing member, both ends of the reflection member are prolonged. Therefore, the reflection member reflects the light from the lamps to the display panel. The lamp fixing member includes polycarbonate or ABS(Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) resin. A color of the polycarbonate is black.
