Abstract: An apparatus and a method for implementing a crime prevention function in a mobile communication terminal are provided to deliver a sound source for crime prevention in an emergency, and to automatically originate a call to a predetermined telephone number, thereby effectively protecting a user in an emergency. A controller checks whether a crime prevention key is inputted(401). If so, the controller checks whether a crime prevention function is set(403).
