Abstract: PURPOSE: A light guide plate and a back light assembly with the same are provided to increase the brightness of the back light assembly by arranging one or more light sources on one side of a light guide cell. CONSTITUTION: A back light assembly(500) comprises a light guide plate(100) and a plurality of light emitting diodes arranged on the rear side of the light guide plate. The light guide plate is composed of a plurality of light guide cells(110). The light guide cells are integrated. The first and second LEDs(210,220) are arranged on each light guide cell. The first and the second LEDs emit the light in the different direction. The light guide cell comprises first and second incidence planes(111,112) which are inputted with the first and second lights(L1,L2) emitted from the first and the second LEDs.

Abstract: A light-emitting source, a backlight unit using the same, and a display device having the same are provided to prevent color mixture in sequential driving and improve color reproduction characteristic by controlling light diffusion and providing a uniform brightness distribution. An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) comprises a liquid crystal panel(2200), a backlight unit, and an upper chassis(2400). The backlight unit comprises a light-emitting source(300) composed of a base plate(350) and a plurality of light-emitting chips arranged at the upper part of the base plate. Also the backlight unit comprises sidewalls(320), a diffusion sheet(360), and prism sheets(380). The sidewalls are formed at the outline of the base plate. The diffusion sheet and the prism sheets are installed at the upper part of the base plate where the light-emitting chips are arranged. In addition, the backlight unit comprises a lower chassis(400) which accepts the light-emitting source, the diffusion sheet, and the prism sheets.
