Abstract: 신호처리장치 및 이를 포함하는 액정표시장치는 이전 영상 데이터와 현재 영상 데이터를 이용하여 중간 영상 데이터를 생성하고, 생성된 중간 영상 데이터를 액정표시패널이 실제로 표시하는 치환 영상 데이터로 변환한다. 상기 신호처리장치 및 이를 포함하는 액정표시장치는 DCC 처리과정을 통해 상기 치환 영상 데이터와 상기 현재 영상 데이터를 각각 보상하여 제1 및 제2 보상 영상 데이터를 생성한다. 신호처리장치 및 이를 포함하는 액정표시장치에 의하면, 상기 치환 영상 데이터에 근거하여 상기 제1 보상 영상 데이터가 생성된다. 따라서, 종래 기술에서 언급한 바와 같이, 정상적인 DCC 처리과정이 수행되었음에도 불구하고 상기 제1 보상 영상 데이터가 과잉 보상되는 것을 방지한다.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A signal process device and a liquid crystal display device including the same are provided to remove a display failure of a liquid crystal display panel by preventing an excessive compensation voltage corresponding to compensation data from being applied to the liquid display panel. CONSTITUTION: A memory(110) receives image data of a current frame and outputs the image data of a previous frame which is previously stored. A lookup table outputs the reference gray value display from the liquid display panel for the previous frame by the combination of the current data and the previous data as the previous compensation data. A first data compensation unit(150) receives the current data and converts the current data to the first sub data and the second sub data with different gray values. The first data compensation unit receives the previous compensation data from the lookup table and converts the data into the third and fourth sub data with the different gray value. A second data compensation unit(170) converts the first sub data to the first compensation data using the first and third sub data. The second data compensation unit converts the second sub data to the second compensation data using the second and fourth data and outputs the second compensation data.

CONSTITUTION: A motion interpolation unit(120) produces a motion vector and generates a middle image data based on the motion vector. Abstract: An LCD device and a method for generating gamma curve thereof are provided to remove yellowish at front and lateral parts by processing the step characteristic of color coordinates using a gamma curve combination. An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) device includes an LCD plate assembly(300) and a signal controller(600). The LCD plate assembly includes plural pixels having first and second sub-pixels. The signal controller outputs a first image signal corresponding to data voltage, which is applied to the first sub-pixel, and a second image signal corresponding to data voltage, which is applied to the second sub-pixel. The first and second image signals follow first and second gamma curves respectively. A target gamma curve is obtained by adding the first and second gamma curves. Limitation areas(A1,A2) of the first gamma curve and limitation areas(B1,B2) of the second gamma curve are satisfied with equations, A1=1, B1=[(Ra+Rb)/Rb]XLt-Ra/Rb, A2=[(Ra+Rb)/Ra]XLt, where Ra and Rb are areas of the first and second sub-pixels and Lt is a target brightness on the target gamma curve.

Abstract: A DCC measuring system and method are provided to reduce a time required for implementing a look-up table by measuring rising and falling voltages using one test pattern. A system for measuring DCC(Dynamic Capacitance Compensation) includes a pattern generator(223), a brightness processing unit(210), a collector(221), and a look-up table generator(222). Abstract: A method and an apparatus for driving a liquid crystal display device are provided to generate DCC data on the previous and current frames by generating the DCC data using interpolation, when no inflection point is present on a brightness response waveform.
