Abstract: A dust collection unit of a vacuum cleaner is provided to lift a dustbin toward a dust separation unit by using a carrying handle located at a dust container lifting unit in order to separate the dustbin from a cleaner body. Abstract: An apparatus for controlling operation of a rotating brush for a vacuum cleaner is provided to rotate a pulley part along with a driving belt and to separate the driving belt from a driving shaft for reducing friction force between the driving belt and the pulley part and preventing damage of the driving belt, and to maintain the separated state between the driving belt and the driving shaft stably by links and stoppers. An apparatus for controlling operation of a rotating brush comprises a fixing bracket, a link part, a pedal part, and a pulley part. The pulley part includes a pair of fixing shafts(141a,141b), a gap maintaining device(142), a pair of rotary cylinders(143a,143b), and a pair of bushes(147a,147b). One end of the fixing shaft is screwed with a pair of combining holes(129a,129b) of a combining part(126b) projected from one surface of a second arm(125), and the other end is formed with heat parts(141c,141d). The fixing shafts are inserted in the rotary cylinders. The gap maintaining device is formed with a pair of through holes(142a,142b). The through holes keep the fixing shafts horizontally. The gap maintaining device is combined between the other ends of the rotary cylinders and the head parts to work as a bush for smooth rotation of the rotary cylinders.
