Abstract: The present invention relates to a side brush assembly which is mounted on a side arm having a side brush unit which is projectable and retractable, and a robot cleaner using the same. The robot cleaner according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a main body which travels on the floor to remove dust on the floor; and at least one side brush assembly disposed on the main body to widen a dust removal area of the floor. The side brush assembly comprises: a side brush body which forms the appearance; a side arm mounted on the lower portion of the side brush body and disposed to project toward the outside of the main body; a side brush unit mounted on the side arm to be able to rotate; a lever connected to the side arm to rotate together with the side arm; a cam receiving a driving force from the driving motor to rotate; and an elastic member connecting the cam with the lever and transmitting an elastic force to the lever so that the lever is rotated.
