Abstract: An apparatus and a method for managing a preview of contents in a mobile communication system are provided to enable a user to determine easily whether to purchase the contents by enabling the user to preview a part of the contents. A method for managing a preview of contents comprises the following several steps. A contents server receives a contents request(200), checks a preview section of the contents(202) and encrypts the remaining section of the contents except the preview section by a symmetric encryption algorithm(204).
