Abstract: An apparatus and a method for controlling display in a mobile terminal having a function of outputting an image to an external display unit are provided to protect privacy by outputting information when an event occurs according to an incoming call or a message reception only to a mobile terminal separately from an output of an external display unit. A wireless unit(130) receives an event from an external source. A DMB receiving unit(120) receives broadcast data in real time.
