Abstract: PURPOSE: A pill-bug-shaped moving device is provided to enable a moving device to leap an obstacle. CONSTITUTION: A pill-bug-shaped moving device(100) comprises a body unit(110), a connecting member(130), and a power unit(140). The body comprises a plurality of unit bodies(120) and a wheel(122). The unit bodies are arranged side by side in one direction. The connecting member is arranged between the unit bodies. The connecting member connects neighboring unit bodies so that one unit body can rotate to another neighboring unit body. The power unit supplies power to the wheel. The unit bodies on both ends are coupled so that the body unit is formed in a circle shape.

Abstract: 공벌레 형태를 모방한 이동장치는 일 방향으로 나란하게 배치되는 복수개의 단위 몸체를 포함하며, 단위 몸체 각각에 결합되는 바퀴를 포함하는 몸체부, 단위 몸체 사이에 배치되어, 일 단위 몸체가 인접한 다른 단위 몸체에 대해서 회전 가능하도록 서로 인접한 단위 몸체를 상호 연결하는 연결부재, 및 바퀴에 동력을 제공하는 동력부를 포함하며, 몸체부가 원 형태를 갖도록 단위 몸체 중 양 단에 배치된 단위 몸체가 상호 결합 가능한 것을 특징으로 한다. 단위 몸체들이 마치 공벌레(pill bug)와 같이 유사한 형태로 감아져, 단위 몸체에 결합된 바퀴로는 넘어갈 수 없는 장애물을 만날 경우에, 비교적 용이하게 장애물을 건너갈 수 있다.
