Abstract:
The present invention relates to a novel use of a PPARδ agonist and, particularly, to antibacterial activities, diabetic foot ulcer treatment and prevention ettects, and gash and burn treatment effects of a PPARδ agonist. According to the present invention, the PPARδ agonist has excellent antibacterial activities against methicillin- and vancomycin-resistant bacteria and can be used as an agent for preventing or treating multidrug resistance bacterial infection. The PPARδ agonist has excellent wound treating efficiency through the cell movement and proliferation of epidermal keratinocytes and has excellent ulcer treating efficiency in a diabetic ulcer animal model, so as to effectively treat gash, burn, and foot ulcer caused by diabetic complications.
