본 발명에 따른 미세유체칩은 미세유체채널과 상호 유체가 이동할 수 있도록 형성된 싱크를 통해, 세포와 세포, 또는 세포와 소조직 또는 세포구를 공동배양 할 수 있다. 또한, 싱크의 미세구멍을 통해 미세채널에서 배양 중인 세포 또는 조직에 다양한 배지를 공급할 수 있으므로, 세포 배양 중에 다이나믹 한 환경을 제공할 수 있다. 또한, 특정 시간차이를 두고 필요한 세포를 적용할 수 있고, 필요 시 세포를 제거할 수 있다.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: An apparatus for controlling the concentration of dissolved oxygen in cells and a method for controlling the concentration of dissolved oxygen in cells using the same are provided to simplify and miniaturize the apparatus because additional devices for injecting mixed gas are unnecessary. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for controlling the concentration of dissolved oxygen in cells comprises: a first channel (110) which provides a space for cell culture; a second channel (120) which is placed at one side of the first channel; an intermediate membrane which is placed between the first and second channels and divides for enabling oxygen to pass through the first and second channels; and an oxygen absorbent supply unit which supplies an oxygen absorbent to the second channel for discharging intracellular dissolved oxygen of the first channel to the second channel through the intermediate membrane. A method for controlling the dissolved oxygen in cells using the apparatus comprises the steps of: culturing the cells in the first channel; and supplying the oxygen absorbent to the second channel and reducing oxygen partial pressure of the first channel.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A cell damage modeling apparatus using a microfluidic element and a cell damage modeling method using the same are provided to simulate an environment which is similar to a real cell pressurizing condition through the configuration that is able to pressurize cells by supplying air to an air channel. CONSTITUTION: A cell damage modeling apparatus comprises: a cell culture channel (110) for culturing nerve cells; an air channel (120) formed at one side of the cell culture channel; an intermediate layer which is formed between the cell culture channel and the air channel and has an elastically transformable material; and an air supply unit which supplies air to the air channel to pressurize cells in the cell culture channel. The cell culture channel and the air channel form an interlayer in a main body (100) of a PDMS material.
