Abstract: PURPOSE: A carbon sphere having an even particle shape and narrow distribution and a use method thereof are provided to obtain the carbon sphere having excellent dispersibility and bistability during polymeric coating and a high charge through charge adjustment as a paint article for electronic paper display. CONSTITUTION: 27g of glucose and 100ml of distilled water are stirred in a beaker. A gas injecting unit injects nitrogen into a reactor for 5 minutes after the stirred liquid is put into the reactor. The temperature of the reactor is increased to 160°C by an external heat source and the temperature is maintained for 7 hours. An outcome is dried in an oven for 24 hours after the centrifugation of the liquid. A ball grinder grinds the dried outcome.

Abstract: 균일한 입자 형태와 좁은 크기 분포를 갖는 탄소 나노 입자인 카본스피어를 사용하여 전자종이용 검은색 입자의 성질과 특성을 향상시키는 방법이 제시되어 있다. 본 발명의 카본스피어는 고분자 코팅시 뛰어난 분산성과 쌍안정성을 가지며 전하 조절을 통해 높은 전하를 가지는 전기영동성 전자종이 디스플레이 장치용 안료 입자로 사용될 수 있다. 따라서, 기존 전자종이에 포함되는 검은색 입자인 카본 블랙을 대체하여 전자종이 구동시 일관된 화면을 구성할 수 있고, 반응속도의 균일성 향상과 화면의 유지에 도움을 줄 수 있다.
