Abstract:
PURPOSE: A method for regulating epigenetic inheritance in a plant and the plant thereby are provided to regulate epigenetic inheritance by controlling histone assembly. CONSTITUTION: A method for regulating epigenetic inheritance in a plant by controlling histone assembly during DNA replication in the plant comprises the steps of: transforming plant cells with a recombinant vector containing Arabidopsis thaliana-incurvata2 (ICU2) gene; and regulating the expression of ICU2 gene. ICU2 gene has a base sequence of sequence number 1. A method for producing a transgenic plant with regulated epigenetic inheritance comprises: transforming the plant cells with the recombinant vector and regulating the expression of ICU gene; and redifferentiating plants from the transformed plant cells.

본 발명은 애기장대 ( Arabidopsis thaliana ) 유래 UCL1 (upward curly leaf1) 유전자를 포함하는 재조합 벡터를 식물세포에 형질전환시켜 UCL1 유전자를 과발현하는 단계를 포함하는 식물의 CLF (curly leaf) 단백질의 활성을 감소시키는 방법, 상기 UCL1 유전자를 포함하는 재조합 벡터로 식물세포를 형질전환하는 단계를 포함하는 CLF (curly leaf) 단백질의 활성이 감소된 형질전환 식물체의 제조 방법, 상기 방법에 의해 제조된 CLF 단백질의 활성이 감소된 형질전환 식물체 및 이의 종자, 상기 UCL1 유전자를 포함하는 식물의 CLF (curly leaf) 단백질의 활성을 감소시키기 위한 조성물 및 상기 UCL1 유전자를 포함하는 재조합 벡터를 식물세포에 형질전환시켜 UCL1 유전자의 발현을 조절하는 단계를 포함하는 식물의 CLF (curly leaf) 단백질의 활성을 조절하는 방법에 관한 것이다.

PURPOSE: A method for reducing CLF protein activity of a plant using UCL1 gene is provided to develop a transgenic plant with controlled phenotype. CONSTITUTION: A method for reducing the activity of CLF(curly leaf) protein of a plant comprises a step of transforming a recombinant vector containing Arabidopsis thaliana-derivative UCL1(upward curly leaf1) gene into plant cells and a step of overexpressing the UCL1 gene. The UCL1 gene has a base sequence of sequence number 1. The plant is a dicotyledonous plant. A composition for reducing CLF protein activity of a plant contains the UCL1 gene.
