    Abstract: PURPOSE: A metal-air battery is provided to improve capacity and charging and/or discharging property, to have high energy density, and to remarkably reduce the battery volume and weight. CONSTITUTION: A metal-air battery comprises a metal anode(10), an electrolyte layer which is laminated on the metal anode, and an air cathode(60) laminated on the electrolyte layer. The metal anode comprises an active metal layer which is formed by using an active metal powder, and a buffer layer(20) which is formed on the active meal layer. The electrolyte layer comprise a gel type polymer electrolyte(50). A metal-air battery module is manufactured by inserting a positive plate between two or more metal-air batteries.
