Abstract: A supporting structure of wafer retaining body is provided to increase the reliability of the supporting structure of the wafer retaining body by reducing the stress around the supporting part of the wafer retaining body. An electric circuit is formed in inside or the surface of the ceramics sintered body. A ceramic supporting member(4) of cylindrical form supporting a wafer retaining body(1) is combined with a plurality of metal bolts(2). One end of the metal bolt is screwed with the female screw which is formed in the wafer retaining body. A flange(2a) for preventing the rotation is formed in a part of the metal bolt. A fixing device(3) which fixedly inserts the flange is fixed to the wafer retaining body. The other end of the metal bolt is inserted into a penetration hole of flange part(4a) formed on one end of the ceramic supporting member of cylindrical form. The ceramic supporting member of cylindrical form is fixed to the wafer retaining body.
