Abstract: PURPOSE: A side airbag cushion and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to safely protect the chest and hips of a passenger by instantaneously inflating the side airbag cushion. CONSTITUTION: A side airbag cushion(10) comprises an injection port(110), a chamber(120), a tether(130), and sewed parts(140). CONSTITUTION: A curtain air bag(A) for a vehicle consists of a cushion(100) and a distributing chamber(B). The cushion is spread in a plate form. The cushion comprises a plurality of compartments(120). The distributing chamber is formed on the upper part of the cushion and is connected to an inflator. In order that gas supplied from the inflator moves one compartment to another compartment, the pressure distributing unit of the distributing chamber keeps the pressure between compartments uniform.
