Abstract: PURPOSE: An antibacterial composition containing Dianthus chinenesis extract is provided to enhance antibacterial activity against Streptococcus mutans and to suppress the generation of organic acid by Streptococcus mutans. CONSTITUTION: An antibacterial composition for suppressing oral bacteria contains 0.01-20 parts by weight of Dianthus chinenesis extract as an active ingredient. The oral bacteria includes Streptococcus mutans. The composition is manufactured in the form of a mouth cleanser, toothpaste, oral spray, or denture cleaning agent. A composition for preventing or treating dental caries and periodontal disorders contains 0.01-20 parts by weight of the extract as an active ingredient. The composition is manufactured in the form of gum, candy, jelly, chocolate, mouth cleanser, oral spray, or toothpaste.

mutans )에 대한 항균활성이 매우 높을 뿐만 아니라, 스트렙토코커스 뮤탄스의 유기산 생성을 억제하고, 스트렙토코커스 뮤탄스의 타액으로 코팅된 하이드록시어퍼타이트 (hydroxyapatite)에 부착 억제 및 점착성의 비수용성 글루칸 형성 억제를 통해 구강세균인 스트렙토코커스 뮤탄스에 대한 항균활성을 나타낸다. 따라서 이러한 특징을 가진 구맥 추출물을 유효성분으로 포함하는 본 발명의 조성물은 구강세균인 스트렙토코커스 뮤탄스의 성장 억제에 유용하게 사용될 수 있다.-

Abstract: An ursolic acid is provided to protect lipid peroxidation of hydrogen peroxide in auditory cells HEI-OCl and increase activity of antioxidase catalase and glutathione peroxidase, thereby being used for auditory diseases induced by excessive reactive oxygen species with no side effects on human body. A composition for treating diseases induced by over-expression of reactive oxygen species in auditory cells such as ringing in the ears, hearing impairment and hearing loss comprises an ursolic acid represented by a formula(1), wherein the ursolic acid is isolated from Cornus officinalis. Further, the 0.001 to 500 mg of ursolic acid is dosed to 1kg of human body.
