Abstract: PURPOSE: An assistant wheel device and a wheelchair which adopts the same are provided to maintain balance of the wheelchair by using a pair of the assistant wheels. CONSTITUTION: An assistant wheel device comprises main frames(200), a pair of assistant wheel devices(100). The mainframe comprises a pair of first wheels(10), a pair of second wheels(70) which has smaller diameter and is located at the front side of the first wheel. A pair of assistant wheel device includes assistant wheels respectively located in the front side of the second wheels. The pair of assistant wheel device is installed in the frame and moves the assistant wheels to a first location which moves towards the floor and a second location which moves backward from the first location. The assistant wheel device comprises housing which is supported by the frame, operating arms which transfer the assistant wheels to the first location, an elastic member which provides elasticity in a direction which moves the operating arms backwards, and a locking unit.

CONSTITUTION: An electrically-powered stair climbing vehicle comprises a body(101), a first leg(230), a second leg(250), and an electric linkage(205).
