PURPOSE: A composition for preventing plant diseases is provided to show an antifungal activity against Rhizoctonia cerealis and Rhizoctonia solani using an Albizzia julibrissin extract and to prevent plant diseases. CONSTITUTION: A composition for preventing plant diseases caused by Rhizoctonia cerealis and Rhizoctonia solani contains an Albizzia julibrissin extract or a butanol fraction of the extract as an active ingredient. The extract is prepared from Albizzia julibrissin leaves or fruits with C1-C5 alcohols, water, or a mixture thereof. A method for preventing the plant diseases comprises the step of making the composition and a plant come in contact.

CONSTITUTION: A composition for preventing plant diseases caused by Pyricularia grisea contains Pittosporum tobira Ait. fruit extract, a fraction of the extract, and saponin IIIA3 as an active ingredient. The extract is prepared by dipping Pittosporum tobira Ait. fruits in a mixture solvent of water and ethanol. The plant diseases are caused in Oriza sativa, grass, mill, barley, or Barnyard millet. A method for preventing a plant disease caused by Pyricularia grisea comprises a step of contacting the composition to plants.
