Disclosed is a composition for pain relief using a Litsea japonica extract or a compound isolated from the same which is verified to have peripheral and central analgesic effect via an acetic acid-induced writing test, a tail-flick test, and a hot-plate test. Abstract:
The present invention relates to an anti-inflammatory composition using Undariopsis peterseniana extract, and more specifically, to an anti-inflammatory composition using Undariopsis peterseniana extract having the generation inhibitory activity of NO, PGE2, inflammatory cytokines (TNF-α, IL-1β and IL-6) and the expression inhibitory activity of iNOS and COX-2. A COX enzyme has a COX function and hydroperoxidase (HOX) activity.
