Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for enhancing fibronectin using glucose of high concentration is provided to stimulate G1 progress and to proliferate embryonic stem cells. CONSTITUTION: A method for enhancing fibronectin synthesis is performed through angiotensin II and deformability growth factor-beta1(TGF-beta1) in case of treating mouse embryonic stem cells with 25mM or more of glucose. The glucose of high concentration activates angiotensin II type 1 receptor. The mouse embryonic stem cells are ES-E14TG2a or ES-R1. A medium for proliferating mouse embryonic stem cells contains 25mM or more of glucose.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for inducing proliferation of mouse embryo stem cells using linoleic acid is provided to enhance activation of cell cycle regulatory proteins in the stem cells. CONSTITUTION: A mouse embryo stem cell is proliferated by linoleic acid. A method for inducing proliferation of the mouse embryo stem cells comprises: a step of activating G protein-coupled receptor 40(GPR40) to stimulate phospholipase C; a step of activating protein kinase C(PKC); a step of activating p44/42 mitogen-activated protein kinase(MAPK); and a step of increasing activation of cell cycle regulatory protein of the stem cells. A medium for proliferating the stem cells contains 10^-7-10^-9 M of linoleic acid.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for inducing the proliferation of embryonic stem cells using caveolin-1 is provided to induct extracellular signal-regulated kinase1/2(Erk1/2) and mouse embryonic stem cell proliferation. CONSTITUTION: A method for inducing the proliferation mouse embryonic stem cells using caveolin-1 comprises: a step of activating caveolin-1 and focal adhesion kinase(FAK); a step of activating phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase(PI3K)/protein kinase(Akt) to induce ERK1/2; a step of increasing cell cycle regulatory protein and MMP-2 expressions. A medium for enhancing the proliferation of the mouse embryonic stem cell contains caveolin-1.

Abstract: A cell culture dish is provided to increase the differentiation efficiency of embryonic stem cells due to being free from physical damage of an embryoid body and contamination by microorganism during a process of moving the embryoid body into a floating culture medium and omit a suspension culturing step by supplying enough nutrition to the embryoid body. A cell culture dish(10) for forming an embryoid body from embryonic stem cells comprises: a petridish(50) where a receiving space with a certain depth is formed; a cell culture dish cover(20) which opens and closes the petridish; and a plurality of supports(30) which are equipped at the lower portion of the cover and have a groove(40) with a certain shape at an end of the lower portion, wherein the culture dish is made of polycarbonate, polyethylene, polypropylene, or glass.

CONSTITUTION: A method for protecting embryonic stem cells comprises a step of treating midkine for HIF-1 alpha activation and hypoxia-induced apoptosis suppression. A medium for proliferating the embryonic stem cells contains midkine as an active ingredient for suppressing apoptosis.

Abstract: Water channel proteins aquaporins which participate in water movement are provided to promote secretion of vaginal lubricating liquid. A vaginal lubricant is also provided to promote secretion of vaginal lubricating liquid by modulating expressions of the water channel proteins. A vaginal lubricant for promoting secretion of vaginal lubricating liquid modulates the expressions of water channel proteins aquaporins including aquaporin-1, aquaporin-2, aquaporin-3 and aquaporin-8, wherein the aquaporin-1 is expressed in capillary blood vessel, venule and smooth muscle in vaginal tissue, and the aquaporin-2 and aquaporin-3 are expressed in vaginal tissue epithelial cytoplasm.
