Abstract: PURPOSE: A 2-hydroxy amide compound is provided to suppress generation of micro holes and to improve mechanical strength and heat resistance. CONSTITUTION: A 2-hydroxy amide compound is represented by chemical formula 1, wherein A is linear or branched (C1~C7) alkylene; R1 ~ R4 are selected from linear or branched (C1~C7) alkyl in which at least one -OH is substituted. The 2-hydroxy amide compound is pure (S)-stereoisomer, pure (R)-stereoisomer or their mixture.

Abstract: A bio-degradable plastic film is provided to ensure excellent processability, durability and mechanical strength(tensile strength, tear strength, and elongation) and to solve the environmental contamination by being biodegraded within 1~2 months. A bio-degradable plastic film comprises cross-linked starch which is cross-linked with a phosphoric acid group and a hydropropyl group; polyvinylalcohol; and glycerol, sorbitol, malic acid, tartaric acid or citric acid as additives. The bio-degradable plastic film is naturally degraded by microorganism.
