Abstract: PURPOSE: A composition for preventing and treating diabetes using Mycoleptodonoides aitchisonii is provided to ensure antioxidation and anti-diabetes effect. CONSTITUTION: A composition for preventing and treating diabetes contains Mycoleptodonoides aitchisonii extract as an active ingredient. The extract is isolated from a fruit body of Mycoleptodonoides aitchisonii. Mycoleptodonoides aitchisonii is prepared by culturing at pH 5.0-6.0 and 20-30°C in a medium containing 1-10g of glucose, 5-20g of malt extract, 1-10g of yeast extract, and 10-30g of agar. The composition additionally contains yacon extract.
