Abstract: PURPOSE: A flame retardant thermoplastic resin composition and a molded product prepared by using the composition are provided, to improve flame retardancy with minimizing the addition of char generating materials by using a zinc compound. CONSTITUTION: The thermoplastic resin composition comprises 100 parts by weight of a rubber modified styrene-based resin which comprises 5-40 wt% of a styrene-acrylonitrile graft copolymer resin having 10-68 parts by weight of rubber component and containing 18-50 wt% of acrylonitrile except the rubber component, and 60-95 wt% of a styrene-acrylonitrile graft copolymer resin containing 18-50 wt% of acrylonitrile; 1-30 parts by weight of an epoxy resin; 5-30 parts by weight of an aromatic phosphoric acid ester compound; and 0.01-20 parts by weight of a zinc compound. Preferably the epoxy resin is represented by the formula 1, 2 or 3, wherein n is 1-10,000. Preferably the zinc compound has a diameter of 0.01-10 micrometers and comprises ZnO, ZnSO4 and ZnCl2.
