Abstract: 본 발명은 에폭시 몰딩 컴파운드(EMC) 혼련기의 스크류 및 패들 세정방법에 관한 것으로, 보다 상세하게는, 혼련 후의 혼련기내 스크류 및 패들 표면에 잔류하여 밀착된 EMC 부분경화물 등의 용융고착물을 쇼트 블라스트장치에 투입하여 제거하는 방법에 관한 것이다.
본 발명의 방법을 사용하여 EMC 혼련기의 스크류 및 패들을 세정할 경우, 클리닝 효과가 우수하고 패들 또는 스크류의 마모 혹은 손상도 매우 적어 제품 불량율을 크게 감소시킬 수 있고, 종래기술에서는 수작업으로 진행되어 오던 공정을 낮은 운전비용으로 자동화함으로써 클리닝 작업의 성인화를 달성하고 클리닝에 소요되는 시간을 대폭으로 줄일 수 있다.-

Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for cleaning a screw and a paddle of a kneader for epoxy molding compound is provided to decrease the abrasion or damage of the paddle or screw as well as to reduce the time and the cost of cleaning while giving good cleaning effect. CONSTITUTION: The method for cleaning a screw and a paddle of a kneader for epoxy molding compound(EMC) comprises the steps of: (i) disassembling an assembly of the paddle and the screw in the kneader after the kneading process of the EMC, deposing the disassembled paddle and/or screws in a shot blast apparatus; and (ii) projecting abrasives onto the paddle and/or the screw to eliminate the remaining EMC cured products and impurities which are present on the paddle and/or the screw. In the step (ii), the abrasives are projected in an amount of 30-35 kg/min. As abrasives, high carbon cast steels of spherical-shape with a diameter of 1-5mm or of cut wire-shape with a diameter of 0.5-1mm and a length of 0.5-2mm are employed alone or in a mixture of at least two having a different size.
