Abstract:
PURPOSE: An artificial marble has natural stone texture and part phosphorescent property by including the optimal proportion of a phosphorescent amorphous pattern part using a non-phosphorescent material and a phosphorescent pigment. CONSTITUTION: An artificial marble includes 70-95 weight% of a non- phosphorescent material (I) and 5-30 weight% of a phosphorescent amorphous pattern part (II). The non- phosphorescent material (I) includes an unsaturated polyester resin (A), a silica-containing compound (B), and organic/inorganic pigments (C). The phosphorescent amorphous pattern part (II) includes an unsaturated polyester resin (A), a silica-containing compound (B), and a phosphorescent pigment (D). The total surface area of the phosphorescent amorphous pattern part (II) is 5-30% of the artificial marble surface area. The non- phosphorescent material (I) has 7-10 weight% the unsaturated polyester resin (A), organic/inorganic pigments (C) of 1-1 parts by weight against a non- phosphorescent material composition 100.0 having 90-93 weight% of a compound containing silica (B). The phosphorescent amorphous pattern part (II) includes 7-10 weight% of an unsaturated polyester resin (A), 85-91 weight% of a compound containing silica and 2-5 weight% of the phosphorescent pigment.

PURPOSE: A phosphorescent artificial marble with excellent phosphorescent effect is provided to minimize the content of the phosphorescent pigment by using an unsaturated polyester resin, and a silica-containing compound and a phosphorescent pigment in the optimal rate. CONSTITUTION: A phosphorescent artificial marble comprises 7-10 weight% of a polyester resin (A), 85-91 weight% of a silica-containing compound (B), and 2-5 weight% of a phosphorescent pigment (C). The phosphorescent artificial marble has maximum luminance over 110mcd / m^2 and maintains the brightness over 7mcd / m for more than 1 hour. The silica-containing compound (B) includes a natural stone particle (B1) 50-80 weight% and an inorganic filler (B2) 20-50 weight% against silica-containing compound 100 weight%. The average particle diameter of the natural stone particle (B1) is 0.1-9.0mm. The inorganic filler (B2) is the silica powder with the average particle diameter is 20 μm or less. The average particle diameter of the phosphorescent pigment (C) is 6-150 μm.

A chip composition for a native stone according to the present invention comprises (A) 75-82 wt% of a silica containing compound and (B) 18-25 wt% of an unsaturated polyester resin, and comprises (C) 0.5-4.5 parts by weight of a pigment, pearl, or a compound of the same for 100 parts by weight of (B) the unsaturated polyester resin, has a multicolor layer, and prevents the phenomenon of the surface roughness reduced around the chip during polishing cause by the difference between surface hardness when applied to a native stone.

PURPOSE: Artificial marble is provided to have natural stone texture in a bright plate and a light accumulation effect in a dark plate by containing an unsaturated polyester resin, natural stone particles, inorganic filler, an organic/inorganic pigment, and a light accumulation chip at an optimum ratio. CONSTITUTION: Artificial marble contains 5-15wt% of unsaturated polyester resin, 75-92wt% of silica-containing compound, and 3-10wt% of amorphous light accumulation chip. The distribution area of the light accumulation chip on every cross section of the artificial marble is 3-10% of the cross section area of the artificial marble. The artificial marble additionally contains 0.01-1 parts by weight of organic/inorganic pigment for 100 parts by weight of the composition containing the unsaturated polyester resin, the silica-containing compound, and the light accumulation chip. The average particle diameter of the light accumulation chip is 0.1-5.6 mm.
