Abstract: PURPOSE: A tactile display apparatus and a method thereof are provided to optimize arrangement of stimulation pins, thereby reducing the volume. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of stimulation pins(10) touches a skin. A driver(20) transfers the stimulation pin up and down. A housing houses the stimulation pine and the driver. Abstract: A tactile display device for simultaneously transferring tactile and thermal feedback is provided to enable a user to easily feel properties and texture of an object material by quantitatively generating surface texture, material properties, and thermo physical properties of the object. A thermal and vibration feedback transferring part enables the user to feel the surface texture, the material properties, and the thermophysical properties of a virtual object. The thermal feedback transferring part includes a thermoelectric device(111) transferring or removing heat from a touched finger according to data received from the control board, a temperature sensor(113) detecting temperature of the thermoelectric device, and a cooling jacket(114) removing the heat generated from the thermoelectric device. The vibration feedback transferring part includes a vibration motor(121), an eccentric rotor(123) generating a vibration frequency/amplitude by combining with a shaft of the vibration motor, and a motor frame(122) fixing the vibration motor and transferring vibration to the finger.

Abstract: 이 발명은 제어보드를 통해 제공되는 가상물체의 표면 질감, 재질감 및 열 물리적 특성을 사용자가 손가락을 통해 느끼도록 결합 구성된 냉온감 전달수단과 다수개의 진동 전달수단을 포함하며, 냉온감 전달수단은 제어보드에서 제공되는 데이터에 따라 접촉하는 손가락에 열을 전달하거나 빼앗는 냉온감 전달부와, 냉온감 전달부의 온도를 감지하는 온도센서, 및 냉온감 전달부에서 발생한 열을 흡수하여 냉각시키는 냉각부를 포함하고, 진동 전달수단은 진동모터와, 진동모터의 축에 결합되어 진동의 주파수 및 진폭을 생성하는 편심 진동자, 및 진동모터를 고정하고 접촉하는 손가락에 진동을 전달하는 모터 프레임을 포함한다. 이 발명은 가상의 물체와의 상호 작용시에 사용자의 손가락을 통해 물체의 표면 질감, 재질감 및 열 물리적 특성을 통해 가상의 물체에 대한 정보를 손쉽게 느낄 수 있다.
