Abstract: The method for producing the sintered alpha alumina using a precursor comprises: mixing an delta alumina with a water containing alpha alumina powder; milling the mixture to obtain a slip of high viscosity; adding alpha alumina seed and alumina sol to it; and drying and sintering it.
