Abstract: 본 발명은 비디오 카세트 레코더의 헤드드럼 코팅방법 및 이 방법으로 코팅된 헤드드럼에 관한 것이다.
본 발명에 따른 헤드드럼은 알루미늄을 원료로 다이캐스팅 주조되며, 이 드럼에 티타늄, 티타늄 화합물 또는 다이아몬드상 카본을 코팅함으로써 내식성 및 내마열성이 향상된다. 상기 티타늄 화합물의 코팅두께는 0.5 내지 0.1㎛이고, 상기 다이아몬드상 카본의 두께는 0.3 내지 2.0㎛인 것이 가장 바람직하다.

Abstract: manufacturing a number of diamond layers having slant edges on a substrate with a diamond chemical vapor deposition by using a slant mask; arranging the diamond layers on a substrate mount whose temperature is adjustable in a cross stripes form; and adding a reduction salt of an oxygen-acetylene torch to the borders of the diamond layers so as to unite the diamond layers.
