Abstract: A method for allocating an address and a method for writing/reading an image to/from a memory are provided to minimally reduce a memory reference amount when performing a stereo matching operation, thereby performing a matching operation at low costs. Pixels of an image are read according to lines. The pixels of each read line are inputted. Sequential addresses are assigned to the pixels of the image by column unit. According to the addresses, the inputted pixels are stored vertically. The stored pixels are read through an address among the sequentially assigned addresses. Pixels adjacent to the pixels in a line direction are stored.
