Abstract: PURPOSE: An encoder utilizing phase transformation gratings is provided to accomplish a system with reduced cost and less susceptibility to an angular displacement of two gratings. CONSTITUTION: An encoder comprising a light source(5) for radiating light, a scale grating(2) disposed directly in front of the light source(5) and which moves in linear and angular along with an object to be measured, a phase deformation grating(1) arranged to be tilted at a predetermined angle and overlapped to the scale grating(2) so as to form a stepped moire fringe together with the scale grating(2), four light receiving elements(3) each of which is disposed at every 1/4 periods of the phase deformation grating(1) in a direction of the moire fringe formed by the phase deformation grating(1) and the scale grating(2), the light receiving elements(3) detecting brightness and darkness of the moire fringe which changes in proportion to the displacement of the scale grating(1), and a signal processor(4) for processing signal output from the four light receiving elements and outputting two cyclic signals in proportion to displacement of the object to be measured.

Abstract: 본발명은두 격자에의해생성되는모아레무늬의명암변화를검출하여피측정물의직선및 회전변위를측정하는위상변환격자를이용한엔코더에관한것이다. 본발명의목적은, 두격자간의기울임각 변화에민감하지않고저가로제작할수 있으며, 위상변환격자를이용하고모아레무늬선과수평인방향으로수광소자를배열하는위상변환격자를이용한엔코더를제공하는것이다. 이러한본 발명은, 빛을조사하는광원과, 상기광원의정면에배치되어피측정물과함께직선및 회전이동하는기준격자, 상기기준격자에특정각도만큼기울어진상태로겹쳐배열되어상기기준격자와함께계단식모아레무늬를형성하는위상변환격자, 상기위상변환격자와기준격자에의해생성된모아레무늬선방향으로상기위상변환격자의 1/4주기마다하나씩배치되어, 상기기준격자의변위와비례하게변하는모아레무늬의명암을검출하는 4개의수광소자, 및상기 4개의수광소자에서출력되는신호를처리하여피측정물의변위에비례하는두 개의주기신호를출력하는신호처리기를포함한다.

Abstract: 본발명은두 격자에의해생성되는모아레무늬의명암변화를검출하여피측정물의직선및 회전변위를측정하는모아레방식엔코더에관한것으로써, 조립시발생하는측정오차와사용중에발생하는측정오차를동시에보상할수 있고, 기계적, 광학적인면에서간단한구조를가지며, 격자의기울임각이변하더라도측정오차가거의발생하지않는고신뢰도의모아레방식엔코더를제공한다. 이러한본 발명은, 기준격자는유리판에일정한피치의불투명선과투명선이반복적으로형성된형태이고, 기준격자와함께계단식모아레무늬를형성하는위상변환격자는, 유리판에상기일정한피치의불투명선과투명선이반복적으로형성되되 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 지점에서의불투명선이다른선에비해더 굵은피치로형성된형태이며, 수광소자는상기계단식모아레무늬선방향으로배치되어, 90도씩의위상차를갖는 4개의주기신호를출력한다.

Abstract: PURPOSE: An encoder adopting moire method is provided in which the encoder has an improved configuration to allow a simultaneous compensation for measurement error occurred during assembling work and measurement error occurred during usage, to thereby improve performance and reliability of the system. CONSTITUTION: An encoder adopting moire method comprises a phase transformation grating(1), and a light receiving element(3) which measures brightness and darkness of fringes and calculates degree of linear and angular displacement of an object to be measured when the stepped fringes formed by two gratings is changed in the brightness and darkness thereof according to a degree of displacement of a scale grating(2) which is linked to the object to be measured. The scale grating(2) is a glass plate on which opaque lines and transparent lines having uniform pitch are repeatedly formed. The phase transformation grating(1) which forms fringes together with the scale grating(2) is a glass plate on which opaque lines and transparent lines having uniform pitch are repeatedly formed, and the opaque lines at 1/4, 1/2, and 3/4 points from the left edge of the glass plate are formed to have thicker pitch than the other lines. The light receiving element(3) is disposed in a direction of stepped fringe line, and outputs four frequency signals having a phase difference of 90°, respectively.
