    Abstract: PURPOSE: A smart MR damper is provided to obtain the power oneself by using a piezoelectric element. CONSTITUTION: A smart MR damper is composed of a cylinder(10), an MR(Magneto Rheological) fluid(20), a piston(30), a viscosity controller, and a piezoelectric element(40). The MR fluid is filled in the cylinder. The piston is installed in the cylinder to be reciprocated. The viscosity controller controls the viscosity by applying the magnetic field. The piezoelectric element is installed in the position pressurized by the flow of the MR fluid caused with the operation of the piston.
