Abstract: PURPOSE: A light trapping device integrated with a concentrator for increasing the power conversion efficiency of a solar cell is provided to increase the power conversion efficiency of the solar cell without a daily light tracking apparatus by linearly arranging a compound parabolic trapper in one dimension. CONSTITUTION: An optical component has elements which are periodically arranged in one dimension. The optical component is installed in a preset space of a solar cell. The optical component improves the power conversion efficiency of the solar cell by trapping incident light in a space. The optical component includes a periodical one-dimensional array of a parabolic mold. A long axis of the parabolic mold is arranged from the east to the west.
