Abstract: PURPOSE: A guardrail apparatus is provided to have intensity to prevent vehicles from leaving in crashing and satisfy impact standard by using existing guardrails. CONSTITUTION: A guardrail apparatus comprises multiple posts(10), a guardrail plate(30), and multiple block-outs(20). One end of the posts is inserted into the ground(5) and the other end thereof is projected from the ground to support the guardrail plate and the block-outs. The guardrail plate is extended lengthily along a road and arranged in the multiple posts in two rows. The block-outs are interposed between the posts and the guardrail plate. One side of the block-out is coupled to the post and the other side thereof has a frame portion that is coupled to guardrails respectively.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for improving a guiderail transition section is provided to reduce costs by improving a guiderail transition section because the existing posts in the existing guiderail transition section are recycled. CONSTITUTION: A method for improving a guiderail transition section is as follows. All component except for the existing posts of the existing guide rail transition section is torn down(S100). The existing posts are reinforced according to a design criteria(S200). New posts are installed to be narrower toward a guiderail of large strength in between the existing posts according to the design criteria. A guiderail plate is installed according to the design criteria in the reinforced existing posts and the new posts(S400).

CONSTITUTION: A method for improving a guardrail is as follows. Rest accessories are removed from the existing guardrails except only post(S100). One end of the multiple posts is inserted into the ground(5) and the other end thereof is projected from the ground to support the guardrail plate and the block-outs. A vehicle directly crashes to the guardrail plate which is extended along a road and installed in the front of the multiple posts. The block-outs are interposed between the guardrail plate and the posts to prevent direct crash between the vehicle and the posts. The post stiffener is installed inside the post to support the post on the ground. The guardrail beam is arranged in the rear side of the multiple posts to connect the posts.
