    Abstract: The iron type sintered alloy having an abrasion resistance is composed of 1.0-5.0 wt.% Cr, 3.0-15.0 wt.% Mo, below 5.0 wt.% Ni, 0.1-2.0 wt.% V, 0.6-1.5 wt.% C, 8.0-18.0 wt.% Cu, below 1.5 wt.% of manganese sulfide, and the remainder of Fe. Ferromolybden is dispersed in the mixtured structure of pearlite, bainite, and martensite. The alloy has a good abrasion-resistance and workability, and is useful for valve seats of an exhaust valve.
