PURPOSE: A geocast system and packet routing method which generates a user-customized location-based application service are provided to secure safety service base which utilizes location information. CONSTITUTION: One or more first routers(200) receive packets including destination IP address and destination location information. One or more first routers search for a routing path corresponding to the destination IP address. The first router transmits the packet in a unicast method. A second router(300) transmits the packet to a receiving terminal in a multicast method.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A network-based IP multicast service reception control apparatus and method thereof are provided to control data corresponding to a multicast channel by using a snooping table and to block access to a multicast channel. CONSTITUTION: A memory(611) stores a snooping table and a service profile that includes multicast channel information. A processor(612) determines whether a user joins a specific multicast channel by using service profile. The processor updates information about a specific user to the snooping table based on a determining result. The processor controls data corresponding to the specific multicast channel that is transmitted from a multicast router.
Abstract:
A service recognition method of a router in an IPv6(Internet Protocol version 6) environment is provided to enable a router to recognize a service by using a service ID described in a service header, when control of the service requested by a portable terminal is essential. When an IPv6 packet whose service header contains a service ID is transmitted from a portable terminal(200), the lookup function of a predetermined service cache is conducted by using the service ID as an index key value of the service cache(S210-S212). If service control information and the address of a service server(202) are confirmed through lookup function of the service cache, the service server(202) is changed into a destination address to conduct service control as demanding a service(S213,S214). If a service response of the service server(202) exists, a routing process is performed to the terminal(200) by using the IPv6 packet(S215,S216).
Abstract:
A router advertisement managing method in a distributed router and an apparatus thereof are provided to manage each router advertisement setup table according to input interfaces of each line card in order to implement a router advertisement function, without the necessity of identically maintaining data through periodical communication with all line card network processors. An RA(Router Advertisement) management part initializes a router advertisement table with pre-defined default values. Also, the RA management part initializes a process for receiving a command event from an operator(400). If a command is received from the operator, the RA management part checks the validity of each parameter value with respect to one or more parameters contained in the command(410). If it is confirmed that all the parameter values are valid, the RA management part stores an interface name in the router advertisement table as an index(420). Then, the RA router creates a router advertisement packet according to contents stored in the router advertisement table, and then transmits it to an associated host system(430).

다수의 인터페이스 포트를 관리하는 하나의 포워딩 엔진에서 패킷의 입력에서 출력에 이르는 패킷 검색 과정에서 3계층과 4계층 검색을 진행하는 포워딩 검색방법 및 포워딩 검색트리를 개시한다. 상기 포워딩 검색방법 및 포워딩 검색트리는, MPLS-L3VPN(Multi Protocol Label Switching - Layer 3 Virtual Private Network) 서비스의 고속 데이터 전송을 지원한다. 상기 포워딩 검색방법은, 패킷 헤더 분석단계, 인터페이스 파라미터 비교 및 다수 VPN 결정을 지원할 수 있는가에 대한 판단단계, L3 IP 포워딩 트리 검색 단계, L4분류단계, L4분류가 필요한지를 판단하는 단계 및 검색결과 반환단계를 구비하며, 상기 포워딩 검색트리는, 목적지 주소를 포함하고 있으며, 복수 개의 구분인자로 구성되는 루트 노드, 상기 루트노드의 복수 개의 구분인자 중에서 일정한 개수의 구분인자가 동일한 중간 노드, 상기 복수 개의 구분인자를 모두 검색한 결과로 인식된 최종노드 및 VPN 서비스를 위하여 추가되는 추가최종노드를 구비한다.

네트워크 기반 아이피 멀티캐스트 서비스 수신 제어 장치 및 방법이 제공된다. 스누핑 테이블을 이용하여 멀티캐스트 채널에 대응하는 데이터를 제어할 수 있다. 스누핑 테이블은 서비스 프로파일에 기초하여 업데이트될 수 있다. 혹은 스누핑 테이블은 사용자의 가입 여부에 따른 제어 메시지에 기초하여 업데이트될 수 있다. 사용자로부터 요청된 멀티캐스트 채널에 대응하는 데이터가 이미 다른 사용자에게 서비스되고 있는지 여부에 따라 데이터 전송 요청 여부가 결정될 수 있다.

PURPOSE: A packet transmitting method in a virtual network is provided to raise extensibility and to bind the virtual network according to a service unit. CONSTITUTION: A transmission host device (30) transmits a packet (S510). A virtual router (Ra) which is a connection router of the transmission host device receives the packet. The virtual router adds a reception IP field and a transmission IP field which set an IP address of a first virtual router (R1) to the packet and transmits the packet after checking an IP address (VR2 IP) of a second virtual router (R2) (S520). The second virtual router searches an IP address (VR5 IP) of a fifth virtual router (R5) corresponding to the connection router having a corresponding domain name in reference to a third mapping table, changes a value of a received IP field into the IP address of the fifth virtual router and transmits the packet (S530). A fourth virtual router (R4) receives the packet corresponding to the fourth virtual router and delivers the packet through a routing path which is set according to a routing table if the IP address of the reception IP field does not match with an IP address (VR4 IP) of the fourth virtual router (S540). The fifth virtual router transmits the packet corresponding to the fifth virtual router based on link local data after decapsulating the reception IP field and the transmission IP field (S550).
