Abstract: PURPOSE: A phase locked loop circuit including a voltage controlled oscillator is provided to improve the performance of the entire circuit by securing a wide tuning range without the increase of the number of capacitor banks. CONSTITUTION: A phase comparator(110) detects the phase difference of a reference signal and a phase locked loop feed-back signal. A charge pump(120) and a loop filter(130) successively process the output signal of the phase comparator. The loop filter implements a function as a low pass filter. A voltage controlled oscillator(140) displays different gains according to the conversion of modes. A distributor(150) generates a feed-back signal with a pre-set distributing frequency.
