Abstract: A postal matter processing system and a method thereof are provided to minimize postal matter processing time by classify corresponding postal matter based on obtained final address information. In a postal matter processing method of a postal matter processing system processing postal matter received from a client, the method comprises the following steps. Address information is obtained from postal matter through character recognition. It is searched whether there is address information coinciding with the address information at a preset rate or more among address files received from the client. If so, final address information is generated on the basis of the address file. Acceptance information of the postal matter is generated based on the final address information.

Abstract: A system and a method for generating a collection route of postal matters by checking a state of a mailbox are provided to generate a collection routine of the postal matter matters by checking whether each mailbox contains the postal matters and excluding the mailbox containing no postal matter from the collection route.
