A system and a method for automatically producing an application protocol in a telematics service are provided to facilitate maintenance and repair of the protocol by preparing a profile of XML(eXtensible Markup Language) type. An XML parser(110) generates a plurality of element trees by parsing a plurality of profiles. If one among the plurality of element trees is generated based on the message profile, a message class generating unit(140) generates the message class from the element tree. If one among the plurality of element trees is generated based on the service use case profile, a service use case administration module generating unit(120) generates the service use case administration module from the element tree. If one among the plurality of element trees is generated based on the constant profile, a constant class generating unit(150) generates the constant class from the element tree.

An apparatus for managing the performance of a TCP using path recovery notification on a wireless network, and a method therefor are provided to notify a transmission party of the temporary disconnection status of the wireless network explicitly to prevent congestion control and transmit only a lost packet, thereby improving the performance of the transport control protocol. An apparatus for managing the performance of a TCP(Transmission Control Protocol) using path recovery notification on a wireless network comprises a path recovery managing unit(110), a path recovery notification managing unit(120), and a first packet transceiving unit(130). The path recovery managing unit detects that a mobile host is recovered in a temporary disconnection status and outputs a detection signal. The path recovery notification managing unit receives the detection signal and generates an ACK(Acknowledgment) packet for notifying the recovery status to a transmission party. The first packet transceiving unit transceives the generated ACK packet and a data packet.

A telematics-based home network control method is provided to be capable of controlling a home network by connecting to the home network using a telematics terminal, thereby offering a more convenient home network usage environment to a user. If the current location is decided as being within a set predetermined distance by using measured location information, a telematics terminal(110) inquires about whether to control a home network(S201). If a home network control request by a user is received, connection to the home network is demanded to a home server(130) according to authenticated results using ID information of the terminal(110)(S202,S203). Connection to a control target is demanded to the home server(130) according to a control request for the control target included in the home network, so that the control target is controlled(S204-S208).

A method and an apparatus for transmitting and receiving traffic information are provided to effectively utilize the bandwidth of a broadcasting network by reducing processing load of a terminal. A database(310) classifies a traffic state according to a traffic information index and stores the classified result. A traffic information classifying unit(320) arranges the traffic state according to a mean speed of a vehicle. A code generator(330) generates a speed code corresponding to the mean speed of the vehicle by applying a VLC(Variable Length Coding) scheme based on the number of roads. A message transmitter(340) generates a traffic information message containing a speed code table and transmits the traffic information message. The speed code table includes at least one road number, the mean vehicle speed corresponding to the road number, and the speed code.

An apparatus and a method for providing telematics application program provided to enhance user convenience by automatically updating data whenever a telematics terminal searches and utilizes new applications through a network. An apparatus for providing telematics application program includes a program registering unit(12), a store managing unit(13), a protocol processing unit(14), a program providing unit(15), a verify managing unit(17), and a session managing unit(16). The program registering unit registers application programs and application program manuals from providers. The store managing unit stores the application programs and application program manuals, and provides lists on the application programs and the application programs. The protocol processing unit analyzes messages inputted from external telematics terminals and provides the lists and the application programs to the telematics terminals. The program providing unit delivers application programs, received from the store managing unit according to the analyzed messages, to the protocol processing unit and requests verification on users and the telematics terminals. The verify managing unit verifies the users and the telematics terminals. The session managing unit maintains the session of the users according to the request of the program providing unit.

An apparatus and a method for processing telematics contents and a recording medium for storing the method are provided to shorten a contents-updating period even in a restricted bandwidth, by converting the telematics contents to be adaptive to a DMB(Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) net having the restricted bandwidth and arranging the telematics contents according to the priority order. A receiving unit(220) receives and stores contents obtained through a CP(Contents Provider)(100). A contents-processing unit(240) processes the contents to be adaptive to a DMB net to arrange the contents according to the priority order. A transmitting unit(250) compresses the contents arranged according to the priority order, and transmits the compressed contents to a DMB station(120).

An apparatus and a method for achieving lightweight application through duplicated application management in an OSGi(Open Service Gateway initiative) middleware environment for an embedded terminal are provided to duplicate application management through a connection unit and an integrated management unit so as to achieve lightweight applications. An apparatus for achieving lightweight application through duplicated application management in an OSGi middleware environment for an embedded terminal includes a connection unit(200), an integrated management unit(210) and a determination unit(220). The connection unit exchanges a message required to execute an application with the integrated management unit connected to a native module(215). The integrated management unit provides an interface for duplicating the application and exchanges the message with the connection unit. The determination unit confirms whether there is a native module related to an OSGi service bundle, executes an application according to the service bundle when the native module exists and then removes the application, and executes the application through exchange of the message with the connection unit and the integrated management unit when the native module does not exist.
