Abstract: 항공기가 촬영한 영상으로부터 객체를 식별하는 영상 처리 장치가 제공된다. 상기 영상 처리 장치는 상기 항공기가 촬영하여 제공하는 입력 영상으로부터 배경과 전경을 분리하여 전경 영역을 추출하는 추출부, 상기 전경 영역의 특징을 추출하여 디스크립터를 생성하는 생성부 및 상기 디스크립터를 데이터베이스와 비교하여 상기 객체의 정보를 검색하는 검색부를 포함한다. 또한, 상기 영상 처리 장치는 상기 전경 영역에 대해 전처리를 수행하여 상기 디스크립터 생성의 용이성과 정확성을 높이는 전처리부를 더 포함한다.

Abstract: Provided is an image processing apparatus for identifying an object of an image captured by an airplane. The image processing apparatus comprises an extracting unit separating a background and a foreground of an input image captured and provided by an airplane and extracting a foreground region from the input image; a creating unit extracting features of the foreground region to create a descriptor; and a searching unit comparing the descriptor with a database to search for information of the object. The image processing apparatus further comprises preprocessing the foreground region to increase easiness and generation accuracy of the descriptor.
