Abstract: PURPOSE: An active carbon fabrics is provided, which has excellent adsorption selectivity to little pollution source as well as recovery and removal of various heavy metal ion in liquid phase. CONSTITUTION: Acid or base solution is used as electrolytic solution, especially H3PO4 and K2CO3 is more preferable. Concentration of solution is 1-40wt.%. The carbon adsorbent is prepared by electro-chemical surface-treatment of active carbon fabrics with good adsorption property for 2-30 minutes with supplying 0.1-5.0 A current in acid or base solution.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for producing an activated carbon fiber is provided to improve the absorbing property for various absorbing materials, and to continuously show the absorbing characteristic by a surface functional group formed on the surface of the activated carbon fiber. CONSTITUTION: An activated carbon fiber is produced by carbonizing under a nitrogen atmosphere at 900, 1000, 1100, 1200, and 1300°C for 30-150minutes used to a general production of carbon fiber. The content of carbon is increased by removing non-carbon components, and the spot-like pored structure on the surface of the carbon fiber is developed with the discharge of non-carbon components by introducing the carbonizing process before an oxy PAN (Poly Acrylo Nitrile) fiber and/of its carbon fiber of high intensity are activated. And the absorbing property is improved by showing the uniform structure and the distribution of pore formed micro pores under 20Angstroms.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A production method of an activated carbon fiber is provided to improve the absorbing efficiency with a surface oxide at processing impurities of a gas and of a liquid, and to steeply improve the absorbing efficiency time at the same time.
