    Abstract: PURPOSE: An ignition apparatus of an engine is provided to enhance the ignition and combustion properties of an engine since simultaneously with the coupling of a spark plug, the direction of an outer electrode is fixed as a direction suitable for the flow of the fuel in a combustion chamber. CONSTITUTION: An ignition apparatus of an engine comprises a spark plug and a cylinder head(9). The spark plug comprises an outer electrode(3), of which a direction determining protrusion(1) is protruded to the outside of a radius direction. The cylinder head comprises a guide groove(7) so that the outer electrode has a given directivity. The direction determining protrusion of the outer electrode is inserted into the guide groove and prevents the rotation of the outer electrode.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: A spark plug-mounted structure is provided to position the ground electrode of a spark plug vertically to the flow direction of the fuel by appropriately rotating a marking unit formed on the spark plug. CONSTITUTION: A spark plug-mounted structure comprises a marking unit. The marking unit is included in a cylinder(10) and a spark plug(12). The marking part sets up the direction of a ground electrode(12b) of the spark plug which is formed in the cylinder of the engine toward a combustion chamber. Each marking unit is formed to position the ground electrode vertically to the inflow direction of the fuel and air which flow in the combustion chamber.
