Abstract: 본 발명은 하이브리드 차량의 배터리 또는 구동모터부에서 발생된 전기적 에너지와 엔진에서 발생된 기계적 에너지와의 비율이 영(Zero)이 되는 임계속도에서 양(Plus)의 영역인 분기영역으로 차량이 주행 되도록 하여 효율적인 구동이 가능하도록 하이브리드 차량의 트랜스액슬 하우징 내부에 배치되며 제 1유성기어, 제 2유성기어, 제 3유성기어를 포함하는 유성기어부와; 상기 제 3유성기어와 동력 전달이 가능하도록 연결 설치되는 제 1모터부, 상기 하이브리드 차량이 출발시에 제 2유성기어를 통해 구동축으로 동력을 전달하여 차량을 구동 가능하게 하며 상기 제 1모터부와 함께 엔진을 시동상태로 서포트하여 엔진에서 발생 되는 동력과 함께 구동축을 작동 가능하도록 구비된 제 2모터부를 포함하는 구동모터부와; 상기 하이브리드 차량의 배터리 또는 구동모터부에서 발생된 전기적 에너지와 엔진에서 발생된 기계적 에너지와의 비율이 영(Zero)이 되는 임계속도에서 양(Plus)의 영역인 분기영역으로 주행 가능하도록 상기 유성기어부상에 연결 설치되어 동력을 단속하는 클러치부; 및 상기 하이브리드 차량의 주행 상태에 따라 구동모터부 및 클러치부의 작동 상태를 제어하는 콘트롤러를 포함하여 구성되는 하이브리드 차량의 동력전달 장치에 관한 것이다.

Abstract: A dual mode power train of a hybrid electric vehicle and a manipulating method thereof are provided to use a motor generator having relatively small capacity by reducing a first motor generator and the maximum mechanical load applied to the first motor generator. A dual mode power train of a hybrid electric vehicle comprises a first planetary gear set(11), a second planetary gear set(23), a first clutch(25), and a second clutch(27). The first planetary gear set has a first sun gear(3), a first ring gear(7) connected to a second motor generator(5), and a first carrier(9). The second planetary gear set has a second sun gear(13), a second carrier(17) connected to a first motor generator(15), and a second ring gear(21) connected to driving wheels(19). The first clutch connects or disconnects the first sun gear of the first planetary gear set with the second sun gear of the second planetary gear set. The second clutch switches the second sun gear into the fixed state or a rotary state.

Abstract: A dual mode power train for a hybrid electric vehicle and a method of controlling the dual mode power train are provided to operate the power train in a compound split mode, in which a first clutch is connected while a second clutch is disconnected in a high gear ratio region, whereas the first clutch is disconnected while the second clutch is connected in a low gear ration region, thereby allowing the power train to be operated in a wider range of efficient gear ratio regions. A dual mode power train for a hybrid electric vehicle has first, second and third planetary gear sets(11,17,27). The first planetary gear set has a first carrier(1) connected to an engine, a first ring gear(3) connected to a driving wheel(5), and a first sun gear(7) connected to a second motor generator(9). The second planetary gear set has a second carrier(13) connected to the first ring gear, and a second sun gear(15) connected to the first sun gear. The third planetary gear set has a third sun gear(19) connected to the second ring gear of the second planetary gear set, and a third carrier(23) connected to a first motor generator(25). A first clutch(31) connects or disconnects the second sun gear and a third ring gear(29) of the third planetary gear set. A second clutch(33) switches the third sun gear between a fixed state and a rotary state. The second clutch is installed between a power train case(35) and the third ring gear. First, second, and third planetary gear sets are comprised of singe pinion planetary gears. In a method of controlling the dual mode power train, with mechanical point where the speed of the second motor generator becomes zero set as a reference, disconnecting the first clutch and connecting the second clutch in a region having a high gear ratio, whereas in a region having low gear ratio, the first clutch is connected while the second clutch is disconnected.
