According to an embodiment of the present invention, a method for forming a catalyst layer on a wall floor type carrier, wherein a first channel having an open entrance and a closed exit is formed, a second channel having a closed entrance and an open exit is formed, and exhaust gas passes through a wall between the first and second channels, the method comprising the steps of: forming a barrier layer on part of the inner surfaces of the first channel; forming a first catalyst layer on the remaining inner surfaces of the first channel; removing, with the barrier layer, the first catalyst layer formed on the barrier layer; and forming a second catalyst layer on the inner surfaces of the first channel from which the barrier layer is removed. Therefore, the first catalyst layer is formed with the barrier layer coated inside, and after removing the barrier layer, the second catalyst layer is formed at the place of the barrier layer, thereby easily forming the first and second catalyst layers different from each other. Further, the first and second catalyst layers are formed on the surface of the first channel having the open entrance, and a separate catalyst layer is not formed on the surface of the second channel having the open exit, thereby reducing costs and improving the transmission efficiency of the exhaust gas.

PURPOSE: An exhaust gas purifying system and a method using the same are provided to efficiently oxidize hydrocarbon included in the exhaust gas. CONSTITUTION: An exhaust gas purifying system comprises an ionizer(30), a hydrocarbon adsorption catalytic(40), and a control unit(50). The ionizer generates a reactive ion, thereby discharging the same. The hydrocarbon adsorption catalytic is installed on an outlet pipe(19), and hydrocarbon discharged from the engine is absorbed and detached. The detached hydrocarbon reacts with the discharged reactive ion, thereby being discharged. The control unit generates the existence of the operation of the ionizer.
