Abstract: PURPOSE: A steering wheel unit is provided to easily absorb the impact energy when the set impact energy is generated. CONSTITUTION: A steering wheel unit comprises a horn cover(100), a skirt(105), a EA foam(110), a support plate, a venting leg, a moving case, a guide, and a spring. The outer side of the horn cover is pushed by a driver to sound a horn. The skirt is formed to be covered edges of the EA foam and a slit is formed in one side. The EA foam is arranged in the inner space of the skirt in the lower part of the horn cover. The support plate is installed in the lower part of the EA foam and supports the EA foam to the up by the venting leg. The venting leg supports the EA foam towards the horn cover. The venting leg forms an impact absorption space between the EA foam and the upper part of the moving case. The moving case supports the venting leg. The guide is fixed in the lower part of the moving case. The spring is arranged coping with the guide and elastically support the upper part of the moving case.

Abstract: A steering column unit for a vehicle is provided to perform the tilting and telescopic operation of a tilt the lever at the same time by mounting a telescopic bracket between the tilt brackets. A steering column unit for a vehicle comprises an upper tube(1), a lower tube, which is inserted into the inside of the upper tube and connected therewith, and a tilt bracket(15) integrally attached to the middle end of the upper tube. A telescopic bracket(17) is integrally attached to the bottom of the upper tube. An adjustment bolt(19) passes through a tilting slot(S1) of the tilt bracket and a telescopic slot of the telescopic bracket. The tilt bracket is provided at an outside thereof with a cam bush(21), which is inserted into the end of the adjustment bolt. Three stepped cams are formed along the edge of the cam bush.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A steering device of a vehicle is provided to prevent a pop-up event and to minimize a driver's injury by preventing the complete separation of gears. CONSTITUTION: A body bracket(32) is installed outside a steering column and fixed by a hinge bolt(31). A moving gear bracket(34) is installed in a flange portion(32a) of the body bracket through a combining shaft(33) to be movable. A fixing gear bracket(35) is fixed in the steering column to be geared with the moving gear bracket. A moving gear support bracket(36) is installed in the body bracket by overlapping through the hinge bolt. The moving gear support bracket prevents the rotation of the moving gear bracket by the tare. A body mounting bracket(38) is installed in the body bracket to be connected with the moving gear support bracket through a tensile spring(37). A rotating bracket(41) is installed in the body mounting bracket by overlapping. The rotating bracket is movable around a fixing bolt(39). A tilt lever(42) rotates the rotating bracket by combining with the one end of the rotating bracket. The complete separation between the moving gear bracket and the fixing gear bracket is prevented by supporting through the moving gear support bracket though a driver is contacted to the tilt lever at an accident. Thereby, a pop-up event is prevented and a driver's injury is minimized.
