    Abstract: The present invention relates to a sample pretreating method for analysis of a permanent magnet using an inductively coupled plasma spectrometer. The method includes the steps of demagnetizing the sample of a permanent magnet; grinding the demagnetized sample; inputting the ground sample into a mixture acid mixed with nitric acid (HNO_3) and hydrochloric acid (HCl) in a volume ratio of 1:1.5 to 2.5; completely dissolving the sample in the mixture acid using microwaves; and cooling the completely dissolved sample. Since a quantitative analysis is standardized by an optimum method, the reliability of the analyzed results is improved.
