    Abstract: Disclosed is a method of controlling a warning condition for a lane change assist system. The method of controlling a warning condition for a lane change assist system comprises the steps of: (a) determining whether a following vehicle approaches in the rear of a vehicle; (b) determining a location of the following vehicle through a tracking algorithm if it is determined that the following vehicle approaches in the rear of the vehicle in the step (a); (c) detecting a following vehicle and determining the following vehicle is the same vehicle as the following vehicle in the step (b); (d) keeping tracking to collect the past and current location information of the following vehicle if it is determined that the following vehicle is the same vehicle; (e) finding out a moving direction of the following vehicle by fitting a liner function with the collected past and current location information; (f) calculating an angle by comparing the moving direction of the following vehicle, which is obtained in the step (f), and a moving direction of the vehicle; (g) acquiring a TTC value according to the current direction by applying the angle calculated in the step (f) to a preset angle-TTC map; and (h) determining whether or not to give a warning based on the TTC value acquired in the step (g).
