Abstract: PURPOSE: A surge control device and method for a vehicle are provided to detect a surge generation condition using direct intake/exhaust pressure and stabilize the operation of a vehicle. CONSTITUTION: A surge control method for a vehicle comprises the steps of: obtaining driving information including vehicle speed, engine rpm, and the displacement of a gas pedal and detecting the pressure between two sides of an EGR(Exhaust Gas Recirculation) valve(S101,S102), determining the driving information and the EGR valve pressure satisfies a surge generation condition(S103), if so, restricting the opening degree of the EGR valve and the closing degree of a throttle valve in order to prevent the generation of surge(S104,S105), and detecting the release of surge and returning to the normal control(S106,S107).

Abstract: PURPOSE: A DPF(Diesel Particulate Filter) damage detection device for LPEGR(Low Pressure Exhaust Gas Recirculation) vehicles and a method thereof are provided to prevent a decrease of the turbocharger and intercooler efficiency with replacing and fixing a damaged DPF in early stage. CONSTITUTION: A DPF(Diesel Particulate Filter) damage detection device for LPEGR(Low Pressure Exhaust Gas Recirculation) vehicles comprises a turbine(1), a turbocharger, a DPF(2), a LPEGR valve(5), a LPEGR cooler(8), an emergency filter(9), and a differential pressure detection unit(14). The turbine is rotated with exhaust gas. A compressor(7) of the turbocharger supercharges air to an engine through an intercooler after sucking the air by interlocking with rotation of the turbine. The DPF purifies the exhaust gas discharged through the turbine. The LP EGR valve is installed on a rear end of the DPF. A pipeline(6) is connected to the LPEGR valve and compressor. The LP EGR cooler is installed in the middle of the pipeline. The differential pressure detection unit detects the differential pressure between an exhaust pipeline(12) and the rear end of the emergency filter.

Abstract: 본 발명은 EGR 밸브의 양단간 압력을 이용하여 팁 아웃(Slight Tip Out)의 상황에서 발생되는 차량의 서지를 안정되게 제어하는 것이다.
본 발명은 차속, 엔진 RPM, 가속페달 변위를 포함하는 운전정보와 EGR 밸브의 양단간 압력을 검출하는 과정, 운전정보와 EGR 밸브의 양단간 압력이 서지 발생조건인지 판단하는 과정, 서지 발생조건이면 EGR 밸브의 열림량을 제한하고, 스로틀 밸브의 닫힘량을 제한하여 서지가 발생되지 않도록 하는 과정, 서지 발생의 해제가 검출되면 정상 제어로 복귀하는 과정을 포함한다.
