Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for estimating a DTE(Distance To Empty) of an electric vehicle is provided to estimate the DTE by considering a battery SOC and an accumulated gas mileage through control logic. CONSTITUTION: A DTE initial distance is inputted. An accumulated gas mileage is checked before charging(S210). A currently accumulated gas mileage is checked(S220). Two or more preset DTE estimation functions are loaded according to the accumulated gas mileage. A DTE estimation function is selectively applied. The DTE for a battery SOC(State Of Change) is estimated(S230).
