Abstract: PURPOSE: A variable oil pump for a vehicle is provided to reduce shut-off pressures by decreasing eccentricity of an outer ring through operating two-stage variable operations. CONSTITUTION: A variable oil pump for a vehicle comprises a pump housing(110), an outer ring(120), an elastic body(140), a rotor(150), a plurality of vanes(160), and a cover. The pump housing has a pivot(111). The outer ring is connected to the pivot and rotated about the pivot. The elastic body offers returning power to the outer ring. The rotor is installed inside the outer ring. A plurality of the vanes is installed on an outer circumference of the rotor radially. A first chamber(191) is formed in an one-side upper part of a sealing unit(180) placed between the pump housing and the outer ring. A second chamber(192) is formed in the other side of the sealing unit between the pump housing and the outer ring.
